Fill In The Blank Friday

Happy Friday!

Haven't done one of these in a while, and this weeks blanks are all about free time, which I would love some of!  Lol.

1. One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is  get a manicure!  Or blog.  Or shop.  Or catch up on reality TV.  Whatever takes the least amount of thought.  And the least amount of responsibility.  {hey, I'm mom, it's the little things that impress me now}

2. When I have free time I tend to  lounge.  and need motivation.

3. If I had an entire day to myself I would  not know what to do.  lol.  no, seriously, I would force myself to not spend a minute in the house.  I would have breakfast and mimosas, while reading the NY Post, in a darling little cafe or diner.  Then, shop, or even just browse, and head on over to get that lovely little mani mentioned in #1.  Maybe catch a movie.  Then head to my fav Sushi spot for some amazing dinner.  {Sort of boring, right??  I would if I could bring my hubby along?}  BTW, if it were the summer, this whole plan would be scrapped and I would be at the beach ALL.DAY.LONG. :)

4. I would prefer to spend my free time (alone or with others...)  with others.  Although I am with Gwen all day, there is no adult conversation.  So, I would most definitely want to spend it with my husband. {most of the time ;)}

5. Most of my free time happens  rarely.  But, I am ok with it.  I love my daughter.  I don't need to be away from her that often... I don't WANT to be away from her that often.  Jason and I get the occasional day/night out, and that's good for me.  Ask me this again when we have another child, I have a feeling the answer may be pretty different!

6. The best thing about free time is  you can do whatever you want!  NO appointments, traveling, craziness, just relaxation!

7. The next time I have free time, I should probably do some housework, but instead, I'll probably blog, take pictures.

Fun weekend ahead for us, tell you all about it later!

xoxo.

Diving In...

After checking out both programs for the 365 picture projects, I've decided.. I am going to do both.

Here's why.

I ALWAYS have my phone with me, like, I feel naked without it, BUT I want to use my camera AS MUCH as I possibly can.  So, why not do both??

Good Lord, what am I getting myself into?

The App that I have decided to use, is My365. It is a fairly new app, but unlike the others, it has filters like Instagram {which I love}.  I am still figuring out how it all works, but I am currently caught up on my days, and I am hoping it stays this easy.

For my DSLR pics, I am using 365 Project.  Too ambitious of me??

Well shall see.

I am thinking of it as double motivation.

Wish me luck!

xoxo.

Can I Commit?

I am totally intrigued by this 365 Project idea.  If you haven't heard of it, it's simple, you take one picture a day for 365 days and document it.  And, I REALLY want to do it...

...but can I make it?

That is A LOT of days.

lol.

I also saw that there was an App for the same idea, obviously using my iPhone instead of my camera.

Decisions, decisions.

Have you ever done this?  Thinking about doing it?  I'd love to hear how it went.

I have to figure it out soon, as I am already FIVE days behind.

Don't mind our hand printed fridge... I'll get to it. lol.

Look Before You...

I am going to save that punch line for the end of my story...
so, let's start with the AM.

Gwen's photo shoot {in Queens, NY} was scheduled for 10:30am.  Meaning that I would like to be out the door by 9 am {allowing time for coffee, gas, etc}, therefore, we {the whole family} are up around 6ish, showering, eating, "routining" shall we say.

Included in this routine, is taking care of Wiley... letting him out, feeding him, letting him out again, the usual.  Unfortunately, Wiley has ANOTHER ear infection, ugh, seriously, he is SO prone to them for some reason.  And CLEARLY it is messing with his brain because after we let him inside, he decided to jump on the bed {that part is ok} and...

PEE ON THE BED!!!!!
{Damn Dog}

On MY pillow to be exact!  Are you kidding me?!?!?!?  I guess that I should have realized that this was going to "set the tone" of my day, but I put it behind me and carried on with our exciting day.

We made it to Queens, in good time, Gwen napped on the way, and the day was looking up.
For a minute.

When we arrived, some of the staff were not there, and neither were the costumes that Gwen was supposed to be shooting in.  So, we spent all of 45 minutes there, which blew our plan of going straight to another "Go-See" at 2pm in Chelsea.

Home we went.

It actually wasn't so bad, Gwen got a little down time, and I got to "reload" for the second half of the day.  And off we went again.

The "go-see" went well, and we even got to spend a little bit of time with Gwen's cousin Emily, Aunt Jess, & Uncle Tom!  Although, it could have been just a little bit warmer for our stroll around the city... but it is January, so I guess I understand.

Home we went, again.  Gwen napped.  Momma got some more coffee {yeah, it was THAT kind of day}.  We resumed our normal daily routine.

Gwen played.  I cooked.  Wiley snored away {jerk}.  Lol.

All was pretty normal, until I was about to put Gwen in her high chair for some Peas & Cheese a la Momma.  As I was lifting her up I noticed that it smelt like a diaper change was in order, so I did the "smell" test... you know, the put your nose to the butt to make sure you're right kind of test.  And like a slap in the face, the WET hit me.

Yup, it was a Sh*t-splosion.

Funny, right?

No, it's not.

It was E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E.  Pants, socks, legs, feet, oh yeah, and my nose {and shirt}.

You can stop laughing now.

It was one of those "You don't even try to clean it up, you just throw her in the tub" kind of mess.

So that's what we did.  And she was so confused... like, "Ma, weren't we just about to eat dinner?"

"Yes, Gwen, we WERE, before you decided to "decorate" us both.

All is well now.  We're clean.  Clothes are on their way to being clean.  And we are about to snuggle up together and watch a movie.

Pre-catastrophe.

So, what is the lesson of the day, folks?

Look before you... smell.

Wedding Wednesday - My 1st Guest Post

Today I am Guest Posting over @ Petchie's BlogBook!

Petchie is a beautiful bride-to-be, who is documenting every part of her wedding planning process, and sharing others' stories along the way! {I totally wish that I had started my blog during the planning process!}

Hence, why I am over there today :)

Back to Queens today for another photo shoot... wish us luck!

Wordless Wednesday {on Tuesday} - Melts My Heart

I am posting this tonight, because tomorrow I am doing my first guest post!!  Yay!  So, I'll hook you up with it tomorrow, but meanwhile, enjoy these pics with me :)

This past week I was able to spend some time with my Grandparents {which I am so grateful for}, but as much as I love it, it makes it so much harder to see them go.  See, growing up we lived within minutes from them, and I guess you could say I was spoiled being able to see them whenever, wherever.

Therefore, I miss them already.

My Pop, carving the turkey.

Ready for some fun!

This reminds me SO much of my childhood, Pop carving the turkey and my Mam-Mom making her gravy and candied yams.

Everything about this picture gives me that "warm and fuzzy" feeling.  Gwen and my Pop-Pop, getting some hugs and tickles in.

Love you, Pop.

NYE

Happy New Year, everyone!  And Welcome 2012!

I hope you all had a fantastic NYE, bc we sure did.

Little Miss Gwen stayed up until about 9pm {that's pretty much all she could handle}, and then a small group of close friends and family rang 2012 with us down in our basement... in togas :)

Yup, we declared our New Year's Bash a toga "Just Dance" party!  Nothing like drinking champagne and watching all of us have "dance-offs" in Togas.

Yeah, it was entertaining!

If you're lucky, I'll post a video for you later...

Although I adore the holiday season, I have to say that I glad that we will be getting back to normal routine.  Momma needs some structure back in her life! A.S.A.P.

I hope that your 2012 is off to a great start.

xoxo.
