Fear Of Flying.

Hey there.  Me, again.  I'd like to say that I will be posting more or trying to, but even though those are my intentions... I can promise anything.  So, maybe we just don't talk about that.

Easter was great.  And exhausting.  I must admit that the "Easter Bunny" has a really hard time stopping themself from filling and filling and filling the basket.  There's just too many fun things to add in... so deal.

I know that some people believe that Easter should not be about "gifts," but I would much rather gifts than candy.  We also played the "donate your candy/get to buy a small toy" card this year.  Gwen and I sorted through her candy and selected a bunch that she "donated" {I don't even know where I came up with donate, but it worked... I'll probably need a more in depth explanation next year} and she then was able to get a small figurine set.  Problem solved.

Next up, only 6 more days until we go to Disney World!! Gwen is filled with excitement and tells (and invites) every one she sees.  I will most likely be balling my eyes out the entire trip, just seeing how happy she is and how magical everything is to her.  Cannot wait.

Back to the matter at hand, I actually don't have a fear of flying.  I have a fear of flying... with Addie Kay.  Girlfriend DOES NOT like being "restrained" - be it carseat, stroller, baby carrier... she wants no part of it.  She wants FREEEEEEEDOM.  And that is not something that is usually found on an airplane.  So, I am a little nervous.

I mean, I am packing all the essentials: snacks, toys, iPad, etc.  But, I feel like I am going to have to buy the plane a round of drinks before we even take off.  Thankfully it's only a 2 1/2 hour flight, and not a 2 day drive (could not imagine), but there is the potential that it will be the longest hours of our lives.

I've even paid for preselected seats.  As far in the front as possible so that we will be the last ones on and the first ones off.  And you better believe that I will be waiting to the last possible moment to board.  If you could, maybe say a Hail Mary or two that we have a safe and smooth flight, and no turbelence either. Hehe.

Any tips for me??? Please remember that Addie is only 16 months old, and bargaining is really out of the question. But, I am open and grateful for all suggestions!

Our Easter Rundown. Part 2. Easter Morning.

It's safe to say that, even though we weren't home, the Easter Bunny managed to find us!  Gwen woke up nice and early {6:30am}, but we didn't really mind because we were just as excited to see Gwen find her basket.  We headed downstairs {quietly, as her Aunt and Uncle were still asleep} and found this...

Girlfriend was PRETTY stoked!! Wreck-it Ralph AND M&M's?!?!  Screw the Mega Millions, she had just hit the jackpot.

We watched helped her tear through everything then I tried to explain that M&M's weren't a breakfast food to her AND her daddy, before heading up stairs to get ready for brunch at Grandma & Grandpa's.  Tried  being the key word here.  I specifically said to Jason, "Whatever she does, don't let her con you into opening some M&M's."

After my shower, I peeked down the stairs, and there was Gwen, holding up her trophy... her open bag of M&M's.  "Look, Momma."

I headed downstairs and asked Jason what happened.  His reply?  "She gave me a kiss and told me she loved me.  She's very convincing"  Big softie, he is.  And I figured it was Easter, so no harm, no foul, right?

We continued on with our morning and headed over to Gwen's Grandma & Grandpa's house for some Easter brunch.  Yum!

We ate some delicious food.  Blew bubbles {for what seemed like hours}.  Played with Easter grass.  Got another Easter basket :) And took some pictures.

We got in as much time as we could together before heading off to our next destination... which is another post, for another day.

Our Easter Rundown. Part 1. Easter Eve.

Like most holidays for us, Easter was filled with many people to visit and lots of fun things to do.  We started the weekend, heading to my sister-in-law's house in PA, to dye some Easter eggs, talk baby stuff, and spend the night.

Egg dyeing, with a toddler, went exactly how is should... messy and not very delicate.  To be expected.  Gwen was very excited to play with the Easter Eggs and colors.  We made eggs for everyone, including Wiley and Baby R.

Lots of "whoas!"  and "wows!" were heard from Gwen as she plopped eggs in each container and stirred them with her spoon.  She was really into it!

Thank goodness for the supervision of Grandma and Daddy and Aunt Meghann, because without it, I think instead of just a stained toddler outfit and a bunch of slightly cracked eggs... we would have ended up with a rainbow colored house!

We ended the night all hanging out on the couch, watching tv, and catching up.  It was a really nice time, and I know that Gwen {and us} loved seeing everyone.

Apologies, Easter Unload & Upcomings

First and foremost, I'm sorry.

Sorry that I have been a bad blogger.

Holidays REALLY kick my ass.

The traveling, packing and unpacking, etc... it takes me a few days to get back to normal. For us to get back into our routine.

So, here I am.
{Please forgive me}

Easter weekend was a lot of fun for us, we got to spend some great quality time with our families.  And here are just some pics from our adventures.

Happy belated Easter from our family to yours.
So other than getting back to normalcy, we have some stuff going on...
...so I am going to do a brain unload as well.  In bullet form.

  • I joined the site House Party, more about it at a later date, and they chose me to host a Keurig Vue Party and I just received a brand new Keurig Vue and Party Pack!! I am beyond excited! So awesome, more deets later.
  • Gwen had her 18 month check up today.  That girl is 34.5 inches long!!!  So tall! And healthy as could be, except that she may have exercise induced asthma :(  Hopefully, she will grow out of it!
  • This weekend we are going to the Yankee's 2nd home game!! Yankee pride runs through our veins, and I can't wait to see our boys in pinstripes for the first time this year!
  • I am currently considering taking on babysitting, since I am already home, and the extra cash would always be welcome.  But, not too sure yet. I'll have to think about it! Lol.
  • I have had a small obsession with Zulily and Totsy lately. Can't wait for my stuff to ship so I can share with you all. so.stinkin.cute.
  • The {meaning mine} birthday is just a few weeks away, and I am trying to figure out what it is that I want to do for my "night out."  I am thinking Lucky Strike in Manhattan, but still not sure.
  • OH.EM.GEE.  Are you people reading Fifty Shades of Grey???? Holy addicted.  I started it Tuesday night, couldn't put it down and finshed it this morning.  Totally intense, definitely made me blush a few times, but I CANNOT wait for the second book.  Like, need.it.now.  Check it out.
I think that's it for now.  I promise to stick around.

So glad tomorrow is Friday... AND that I don't have to pack this weekend ;)

xoxo.
