Knockout

When you're a Momma and are away from your child for the day/night, it is just natural that you worry about your baby and pray that nothing happens to them...

...but what about the person who is watching them?

The night that we celebrated my birthday in the city, my mom had Gwen overnight.  This isn't the first time that she has watched Gwen {obviously} so I wasn't too worried.  I was able to enjoy my night knowing that everything was ok.

What I didn't expect was what my Mom told me in the morning when I called to schedule a pick up time...

Mom: She gave me a black eye.

Me: Who??? {Surely she couldn't be talking about my darling daughter}

Mom: Your daughter.

{I burst into laughter}

Me: What are you talking about?!?!  Are you ok?  Is Rocky she ok?

Apparently, while they were playing, Gwen threw her head back and hit my mom in the eye.  Before Gwen could start crying, my Mom pretended to cry to keep Gwen from getting upset, and neglected to take care of herself.

The next morning when she walked into the bathroom to do her make-up, this is what she saw...

Holy ish, right?!?!  I gasped when she sent the pic to me!


She's fine, but she HAS been asked about a million times, "Who beat her up?" and "What does the other guy look like?!"  Lol.

That Gwen, she's one tough cookie!  Remind me not to get in her way.  :)
