How is it, that I know quite a few GROWN adults that are paralyzed with fear at the thought of having to use an iPhone {or any other form of modern technology}, but my 16 month old little girl can navigate one like a pro??
For real.
I was under the assumption that it was "safe" to hand Gwen my LOCKED iPhone, and it be a solid distraction. Well, it was a distraction, but only bc she was busy unlocking it and deleting Apps!

Our children are going to be SO technologically advanced, probably before they even reach Kindergarten.
This got me thinking...
Gwen will never know life without a computer, cell phone {at a certain age}, blu ray,GPS, iPod... just like I never knew a life without a television, VCR, Walkman.
She will think of Oprah as we thought of Ed Sullivan.
Will "Saved By The Bell" be to her as "Leave It To Beaver" was to us?
Will our skinny jeans and ankle boots give her a good laugh?
Will the Clinton scandal be to her as the Nixon scandal was to us, just history??
Are we getting old??
When you are growing up, you never think that one day all the things that you loved/enjoyed/experienced will be considered history/old/not so cool.
Talk about things coming full circle!

GREAT POST! I think about this all the time. We are raising our kids in such a different generation than we were raised. With all the technology now, it's all about instant gratification, everything is available to them at the click of a button, which is a little unsettling, I think.
ha ha! i think these same thoughts often, and my toddler is a rockstar at navigating the ipod and our touchscreen phones as well. ;)
thanks for your kind comments about my photos. i am self-taught and i really learn best by just snapping away. i take hundreds of photos, sift through them, and take notes about what i like and what i don't. i was also challenged by my hubby to shoot on 'manual' mode instead of 'auto' and it really made me learn some fun tricks.

What a wonderful post. I think about this all the time. Currently Hayley has the Leap pad and I keep thinking, what is the world coming to-lol. SHe loves to use my IPAD too. I foresee future problems!

I know our kids will have way more computer/technology than we had...sometime a good thing...but sometimes not.
this is so very true! I was thinking about it the other day as well as she deleted my app and I wondered how she figured out how to do it so quickly
